Students will be allowed to choose one of the three activities to work with the content they just learned about the Arabian Peninsula. Students will be provided with the directions below:
STORYTELLING: Students who choose storytelling will need to write a story using a made up character who lives in the Arabian Peninsula. Students are expected to include the following:
Your character must be a NOMAD and part of a CARAVAN. How you introduce that is up to you.
Your character must travel through at least TWO of the following: deserts, oases, mountains, fertile coastlands. While your character travels through these areas, you need to explain what they see, feel, and hear.
Your character must go to a town and market at some point. What would they see? Who would they talk to? What would they do?
You must highlight or underline each time you use a key term. This story must be written out with proper sentences, punctuation, and grammar. Also you must write at least FIVE sentences, if not more. All the above requirements must be met.
This activity must be typed.

ILLUSTRATION: Students who choose illustration will need to make up their own drawings. You will be required to color if the quality of your drawings is poor or you use stick figures. Your drawings must include the following items that you have learned about
Desert, oases, mountains, fertile coastland, caravan, nomad, Arabian Peninsula, and souk/bazaar (marketplace).
Each drawing must be labeled, and you must include a short explanation of what you drew and how it relates to what you learned about the term.

Illustrations and explanations must be neat and easy to read and understand. Also, you must use an entire page, front and back so drawing tiny pictures or short explanations will not serve you well.

ANALYSIS: Students who choose analysis will need to complete a Venn Diagram. You will be required to choose from the options below to compare and contrast. Students are expected to do the following:
You may compare and contrast the following: NOMADS/TOWNSPEOPLE or DESERT/FERTILE COASTLAND.
You must include at least 5 facts in the outside circles that are specific to that category. In the center oval, you must include at least 3 similarities between each category.
You do NOT need to write in complete sentences, but you need to be clear about what you are trying to explain and the facts you are listing.
